Philadelphia Gateway

A private/public collaboration between Realen, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and the Philadelphia Parking Authority, the Gateway Parking Facility serves as a national model to relieve traffic congestion. Completed without public funding, this 1050-car facility, which is located directly on the main Center City interchange from the Interstate highway network, is the only Interceptor Parking Facility in Philadelphia and fulfills a federal mandate to accommodate traffic exiting the adjacent highway before it contributes to Center City congestion. The facility occupies a portion of the full property – a full city block, approved for nearly 2,000,000 SF of mixed-use. Plans for further development are underway.
